In keeping with Resolution P231/48 of the CC CPSU, of January 6, 1981, a Soviet military delegation, led by Comrade N.V. Ogarkov, Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the USSR, will visit the Republic of Cuba.
In view of this, the Ministry of Defense hereby requests [that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union] allow this 10-day visit by the said delegation made up of Marshal A.N. Yefimov (First Deputy Commander and member of the Military Council of the Air Force, member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR), Admiral G.M. Yegorov (Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Commander, member of the Military Council of the Navy, candidate member of
the CC CPSU), Colonel General N.A. Zotov (head of the 10th Chief Directorate of the General Staff), Lieutenant General I.N. Zaitsev (first deputy head, Organizations Department, Chief Organizations and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff), Lieutenant General Ye.V.
